Favorites // Summer 2015

These are some of my favorite things so far this summer. I haven't posted in a while because I was at sleep away camp (posts about that are coming soon).

Cheeky Bottoms
These from Victorias Secret are one of my favorite bottoms of the summer. I am personally not a fan of the super cheeky or "itsy" bottoms. I find that they aren't flattering. Anyways I find that these bottoms are a happy medium between a full coverage bottom and an itsy bottom. I bought my first pair of these back in March before my trip to the Bahamas and have since bought more colors because they are amazing.

Nike Shorts
These have always a favorite of mine, they are so comfy and can be worn with almost anything. I wear them all the time all year round.

High Rise shorts
All my shorts from last summer did fit soo I had to buy new ones. I bought my high rise shorts at a surf shop in Nantucket but These are similar. Most teenage girls own high rise jean shorts. They look nice with almost any shirt. I honestly hate wearing jean shorts; I usually just wear nike shorts or some type of flowy short. Although I made an acceptation for these shorts, they are so comfy and soft.

Nantucket Bucket
This hat I bought at the beginning of the summer. I first saw it at a store in Nantucket and I new I had to have it. I love wearing hats in the summer; my skin is as white as paper and when I go out into the sun I get an immediate burn so hats always help.

Aussi Shampoo & Conditioner
I have tried so many high end & drug store shampoo/conditioner sets and I always come back to Aussi. It works miracles on my hair. I am like a fish, if there is a body of water I will most likely swim in it. When I am at the beach, I spend so much time in the ocean which is not so great for my hair. This set is the only one I have tried that has worked!!

Haim
THIS BAND IS MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE!!! If you have never listened to their music I am telling you that you should. I am listening to them as I write this post! I first hear them at the Taylor Swift 1989 concert (blog posts about that coming soon) and I immediately fell involve. They have such a fresh sound that is different and I love it.

GoPro // Hiking

One of the coolest purchases I have ever made was my GoPro. The camera is so small and versatile, it has endless possibilities. Today, my friend Katie (Check her out :)) and I went hiking at Purgatory chasm in Sutton MA. We carried our GoPro's around and it was such a good time. This is my last post before I head off to camp for a week. Here are some of my favorite (unedited) pictures from our GoPros:

Emily // Meet Me

Hello friends! You have arrived on my blog! This is my first time at this so bear with me as I get the hang of it. My name is Emily and I am very excited to start & grow this blog! (a quick shoutout to my girl Maddy for being amazing!!!!) I first joined the blogging community a few years ago on tumblr and I liked the idea of expanding to a more personal blog. My plan for this blog is to not have a plan. I will post pictures, talk about thing, post DIYs, and basically whatever I think should be shared on the inter-web.

I think that in order for this to work the way I want it to, you should know more about me. As I write this I am 15 years old and I have a 9 month old French bulldog named Gizmo. I am currently having a great summer before my sophomore year of highschool at a private prep school in Massachusetts. I have been spending the good majority of my summers in Nantucket my whole life. For any frequent fliers or Nantucketers out there, I have a house in Madaket (aka my favorite part of the island). Ever since I can remember, I have always been at the beach. Almost by default I am a lover of all things beach. Nothing stops me from going in the ocean and enjoying everything it has to offer. (I'm not even kidding, I swim in the winter in Nantucket every year)

Other than the ocean, I live for field hockey. This coming fall will be my fifth year playing the sport. I play for my school and a fantastic club team (CAFHC FOR LIFE)! Last but not least, my family and I race cars.  We use our passion for racing to raise money for various children's charities as well as children directly. The organization is called Guardian Angel Motorsports. I have been around them my whole life and I am finally old enough to drive on track myself! I hope you enjoy my blog!
